So, I'm single, late 30s, and The median home value here is around $448,900, which is pretty steep. With a population of 35,988, Richmond West is a smaller city. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
