Why I chose Richmond West over bigger cities

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $96,282 in Richmond West. Crime rate is something to consider -Richmond West sits at 288.1 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $2,374 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Thanks for reading. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Used to live on the Old Town side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.
