Been meaning to ask this. We have two kids and Crime rate is something to consider -Richton Park sits at 448.6 per 100K. Median household income is $71,724, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $200,400 on average. With a population of 12,576, Richton Park is a small town. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
