Longtime lurker here, Just moved here 7 months ago and The median home value here is around $404,900, which is pretty steep. Poverty rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Ridge sits at 22.0 per 100K. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Plenty of shopping options
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Lack of diversity
- Poor road conditions
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Far from major airports
What are your go-to spots? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
