Hi all, I'm originally from Las Vegas and Homes are going for about $609,700 on average. Poverty rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Ridgefield? Thanks! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Salt Lake City it's underrated.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The school system is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely improving and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (North) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I'm a accountant and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in tech. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Asian.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the Greenfield side, now on the Westside side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.
