Relocating to Ridgefield, NJ -pros and cons?

Random thought, I'm originally from Salt Lake City and It's a a small town city with about 11,439 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Ridgefield sits at 53.4 per 100K. Median household income is $115,676, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 1 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
