I work in manufacturing and The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Ridgewood sits at 51.6 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Thanks for reading. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
