Is Ringwood good for remote workers?

Been meaning to ask this. Poverty rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Ringwood sits at 41.1 per 100K. Median household income is $142,529, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a small town city with about 11,600 people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What do you all think? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in Fairview area are solid. Kids love it here.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much affordable but now it's hit or miss.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Oak Park. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from San Francisco about 7 years ago. The main reasons were family and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Diverse dining options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The housing market is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
