Not sure if this has been asked before, but We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $1,481 for rent here. With a population of 107K, Rio Rancho is a mid-size city. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
