Hey folks, Homes are going for about $273,300 on average. The median home value here is around $273,300, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a mid-size city city with about 107K people. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Any help is appreciated. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The walkability is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.
