Honest thoughts on life in Rio
Curious what people think. I'm a remote worker and Median household income is $65,703, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate. Rent is about $1,755/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Should I be concerned? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.
