Been meaning to ask this. I'm originally from Dallas and Rent is about $708/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 45--F, so expect cold winters. With a population of 7,803, Ripon is a small town. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
