Hey everyone, I've been here for 8 years and Crime rate is something to consider -River Edge sits at 17.4 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Dallas about 3 years ago. The main reasons were school and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited public transit options
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 8 years ago. The main reasons were weather and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is decent.
Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..
