Just moved to Riverbank, any tips?

Hey everyone, Poverty rate is 11.5%, which is around average. The median home value here is around $442,300, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. Is this normal for Riverbank? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Nashville about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Diverse dining options
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is improving.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. No regrets on my end..
