Grocery stores in Riverdale -recommendations?

Hello, I'm originally from Miami and Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $62,627, which feels about average for the area. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What are your go-to spots? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The nightlife is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Pine Hills for 11 years. Moved from Seattle for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable.

**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. finance is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Pine Hills schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Nightlife is limited. Chain restaurants dominate. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 8/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The traffic is pretty good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from San Francisco about 8 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Good luck with whatever you decide..
