Moving to Riverdale with kids -good idea?

My family moved here when I was a kid. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 14,866 people. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I overthinking this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Diverse dining options
- The safety scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

We moved here with our family and I genuinely enjoy living here. Schools in Maple Ridge area are improving. Kids love it here.
