Not sure if this has been asked before, but The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 54--F, so expect cold winters. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Would love some local perspective. Appreciate any input. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Dallas about 11 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Good luck with whatever you decide..
