Hey everyone, I work in energy and With a population of 316K, Riverside is a mid-size city. Crime rate is something to consider — Riverside sits at 505.9 per 100K. Rent is about $1,812/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $542,100 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
