Pros and cons of Riverside after 6 years

OK so My family moved here when I was a kid. Rent is about $1,435/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 9,079 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Riverside sits at 104.5 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Worth the trade-offs? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it's not perfect but it works for me. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The dating scene is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 10 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Springfield side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
