Is Riverside worth it salary-wise?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Homes are going for about $237,300 on average. Average temperature is around 55--F, so the weather is moderate. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Has anyone dealt with this? Any help is appreciated. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in Old Town for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- The nightlife scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Hope this helps!.
