Longtime lurker here, Born and raised here. Crime rate is something to consider -Riverton sits at 345.3 per 100K. Rent is about $885/month for a decent place. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I wrong here? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
