Things that make Riverton unique

Hi all, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Crime rate is something to consider -Riverton sits at 345.3 per 100K. Rent is about $885/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I wrong here? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Dallas it's challenging.

I work in government here and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market for my field is underrated. Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in tech. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Definitely worth checking out..
