Is Riviera Beach worth it salary-wise?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and You can expect to pay around $1,489 for rent here. With a population of 38,032, Riviera Beach is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,489/month for a decent place. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What would you do? The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 3 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
