Best hidden gems in Robbinsdale

Longtime lurker here, Been living here since 2017. The median home value here is around $280,400, which seems about average. Rent is about $1,582/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Let me know your thoughts. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Hope this helps!.

Used to live on the East side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Sunset for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The housing market scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Midtown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 14 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
