Hey, With a population of 14,318, Robbinsdale is a small town. Median household income is $84,719, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Is this normal for Robbinsdale? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from San Diego about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is decent.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Definitely worth checking out..
