Longtime lurker here, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $95,579 in Robinson. The median home value here is around $269,000, which seems about average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Would love some local perspective. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Bought a house here in 2020 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Westside for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- The outdoor recreation scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Definitely worth checking out..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is tough in most areas.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Uptown area are solid. Kids love it here.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- The nightlife scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Uptown. It's underrated for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Indian.
