Is Rochester Hills good for remote workers?

Homes are going for about $377,400 on average. Median household income is $119,054, which feels pretty solid for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I overthinking this? Cheers.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Westside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- The housing market scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..
