Curious what people think. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What are your go-to spots? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in West for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
- The outdoor recreation scene is improving
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Urban sprawl is real
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
