Worst things about Rochester nobody talks about

I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $104,920 in Rochester. The median home value here is around $450,800, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $1,201 for rent here. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What are your go-to spots? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in West area are challenging. Kids love it here.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is dating scene. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is underrated in most areas.
