How is Rochester for outdoor activities?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Dallas about 6 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are wild, gas is average.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..
