Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in Rochester? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $1316 for a studio which feels okay for the area.
Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Riverside and Pine Grove are perfectly safe.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

Coming from Houston, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

Rent tip: look for places in fall. Prices drop and there's more availability.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Oakwood. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

I work in tech and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 5 months.
