Curious what people think. I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 22.5%, which is higher than I expected. The median home value here is around $120,600, which is actually reasonable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here?

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Old Town area are underrated. Kids love it here.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like sushi.
