Best neighborhoods to rent in Rock Hill?

Hi all, Property taxes are high but you get good services. Has anyone dealt with this?

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a pharmacist, 57, moved here 1 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in Uptown and Greenfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good healthcare facilities
2. Good internet infrastructure
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally tough - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The nightlife situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Uptown: Great for young professionals. decent vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $90K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
Give it a chance - it might surprise you.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much growing but now it's tough.

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in Greenfield area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.
