Career opportunities in Rock Springs, WY

I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've lived in Old Town for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- The community vibe scene is improving

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2022 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone about the same since then.
