Curious what people think. I'm a college student here and Homes are going for about $427,800 on average. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. Worth the trade-offs? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Riverside. It's improving for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in finance. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Definitely worth checking out..

I'm a writer and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.
