Random thought, Military spouse here. The median home value here is around $120,900, which is actually reasonable. The unemployment rate is 5.2%, which is about average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- The community vibe scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.
