Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a teacher here and Rent is about $954/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 16.7%, which is higher than I expected. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Let me know your thoughts. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much.
