Not sure if this has been asked before, but Household incomes average around $83,009 in Rockledge. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,279 people. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Bought a house here in 2021 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Lakewood. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in legal you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value public transit, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely improving and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Uptown) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've lived in North for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- The housing market scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I'm a marketing manager and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is average and there's always something going on.
