Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Rocklin sits at 97.7 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Phoenix about 15 years ago. The main reasons were school and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are wild, gas is excellent.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Moved here from Nashville about 4 years ago. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Still getting used to safety but Would recommend to anyone considering it..
