Been meaning to ask this. Poverty rate is 9.2%, which is pretty low. With a population of 10,449, Rockport is a small town. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if dating scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Maple Ridge area are excellent. Kids love it here.

I've lived in The Heights for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The housing market scene is tough
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
