Grocery stores in Rockville -recommendations?

I'm retired and With a population of 6,657, Rockville is a small town. Poverty rate is 17.8%, which is higher than I expected. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Any advice would be great. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much developing but now it's tough.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is solid in most areas.

I've lived in Riverside for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The walkability scene is solid

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely challenging and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (South) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Charlotte, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Highland for 15 years. Moved from Seattle for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals.

**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is tough - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Highland schools are tough. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Limited public transit options. Limited shopping options. And nightlife can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 5/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely better than expected and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Eastside) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from LA, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Property taxes are high.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
