Best apartments in Rockville under ?

Alright, I grew up here but left for a while. The median home value here is around $658,300, which is pretty steep. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Bought a house here in 2019 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Heights. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Old Town. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Hope this helps!.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Fairview for 9 years. Moved from San Francisco for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is solid. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I genuinely enjoy living here. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Fairview schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Road conditions need improvement. And community vibe can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 6/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
