What surprised you most about Rockville?
Anyone else feel this way? Homes are going for about $327,400 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Rockville sits at 284.9 per 100K. Rent is about $925/month for a decent place. Median household income is $101,447, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Limited cultural events
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Homelessness issues downtown
- Not enough green space
What would you do? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
