Why I chose Rockwall over bigger cities
First post here. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $382,400 on average. Poverty rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
