Best companies to work for in Rocky Ford?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a nurse at the local hospital and It's a a small town city with about 3,843 people. With a population of 3,843, Rocky Ford is a small town. You can expect to pay around $756 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Does this match your experience? The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Downtown. It's pretty good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in construction. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Feel free to reach out with questions..

The food scene here is average. Tons of great BBQ places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Came here for family and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The nightlife is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
