First post here. I'm a nurse at the local hospital and With a population of 54,175, Rocky Mount is a smaller city. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Worth the trade-offs? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
