Weekend activities in Rocky Mount?

Alright, It's a a smaller city city with about 54,175 people. Poverty rate is 16.7%, which is higher than I expected. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What do you all think? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Minneapolis about 8 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Happy to answer more specific questions..
