First time home buyer in Rolesville

OK so I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $982 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thoughts? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Westside for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The weather scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Chicago about 2 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good airport with direct flights
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is improving.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The safety scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..
