Should I move to Rolling Meadows or stay in Miami?
Hey folks, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Homes are going for about $299,700 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Rolling Meadows sits at 80.2 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Does this match your experience? The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 5 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into running, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is food scene. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
