I relocated for work and Rent is about $1,892/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What are your go-to spots? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Riverside. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in legal. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a sales manager who relocated here from San Francisco about 13 years ago. The main reasons were school and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is average.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The dating scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..
